Entering Business Aviation, Part II: Pay Rates for Flight Attendants
Between corporate moguls and Hollywood celebrities, the two metropolitan areas produce some of the most significant amounts of flying in business aviation. You know that aviation pays better than commercial, in most cases a lot better, but you aren't sure what the going rate is for a corporate flight attendant. Contract rates vary widely and depend, again, on your location, responsibilities, experience, etc. I have heard of flight attendants flying for $0 just to get the experience and hours [how could a company conscientiously allow that to happen? Okay, stupid question!] I've also heard of a flight attendant making $600 per day flying internationally. If the company insists on paying 35K, guess what? You won't make anything near 60K, you'll be crossed off their list and the person settling for 35K will get the job.

Entering Business Aviation, Part IV: Crafting a Resume
Matt manages the Aviation Employment Board a job resource center for aviators. In aviation, there are certain things that must be included in a résumé to help you get noticed. If you are applying for work overseas the company or agency may want this information in addition to a full length picture of yourself and a headshot. I have heard objections from some about this particular practice. If you want to work internationally, you must respect local laws and customs.

Inflatable Slots for STOL
Short Take Off and Landing Aircraft are extremely valuable in commercial, private, government and military aviation. For standard landings if desired the system would be filled with ram air rather than a cartridge. Each system would contain ten rechargeable cartridges. Cartridges only used for extreme take off performance safety factors or emergency landings. Additionally a secondary cartridge could be deployed on touch down, which would act as an airbrake causing the aircraft to come to an almost immediate stop.

Young Men Trying to Imitate the 9-11 Scenario, Part IV
We do not need any more rules in general aviation. Why don't they stick up for what is right here and say something? If it were not for our victories in the air in previous wars we would not be able to maintain our countries freedom. On a mission that most did not come back from. Do you honestly think they would vote for more laws in aviation? Certainly not, yet they are the ones who know about such, who are able to change policy. Are we to say that our Presidents experience could never have existed in today's times? The answer is YES, that is what we are saying.

Fighter Jet Trainers Sport Planes
Aviation Week had some interesting things to say about this project. Many countries still are not exactly feeling good about buying the Korean T-50s. The US is now taking delivery of Raytheon's T-6A Texan 2 has the security of U. Now as a matter of fact I talked to a training pilot in San Antonio who said they were getting their first ones in last June. Many Aerospace consultants in Europe believe this aircraft may take the lead around the world as the trainer of place.

Is your air traffic control person real?
Think about this and the virtual reality simulators used in aviation. You can also stay up on this information by subscribing the newsletter. It will not be long now before many aircraft are flying themselves and the air traffic control personal in the control towers do not even have windows to look outside, as the whole thing will be in a video game like augmented reality which will be recorded for later use in virtual reality training of new controllers in air traffic control simulators. Did you know that air traffic professionals are now training in virtual reality simulators hooked up to pilots in aircraft simulators and the whole thing does not even exist? Talk about working in a dream world. Generally these controllers have many things going on at once which you cannot possibly know and what looks like a pipe dream or wishful thinking on their part is part of a larger plan.

Flying As A Hobby
She operates a web site that is devoted to flying and aviation resources. Then you need (or want) the unnecessary (but fun) goodies that we all need to pursue our passion. Let's see, do we pay the mortgage this month, or get that (fill in the blank) that you just have to have. If your flying hobby is doing more harm than good, if it's dipping into the family budget and time allocation, more than you can or should be spending, it's time to reevaluate. You start out with trying to budget for the weekly flying lessons.

Helicopters - The Multi Utility Machines
But, with Indian skies opening up to international aviation and domestic aviation getting global, it is time we understand that helicopters are the connecting links towards its success. Pinpointing location, moving equipment, finding water sources and rescuing victims from high-rise buildings can also be done much faster. It provides observers a platform to assess a situation and provide ground units and other aircraft a clear description of the problem and how to combat it. As our society becomes media savvy everyday, new agencies and media groups need to get news faster and crispier. Thus, helicopters are used to reach the place of incident faster and report from there on.

The History of the Aircraft Wash Guys, Part One
This was when the ITC-Investment tax credit was taken away, America was still in the energy crisis with high fuel prices and luxury tax law went into affect the next year and killed General Aviation. Andrew and Lance were also in the Boy Scout Aviation Explorers. As part of this business he started the first Aircraft Multi-Listing Service, which was online. Although the Internet was not really being used yet and TRS 80's were just hitting the market. He sold approximately 40 or so aircraft back then and assisted other brokers in doing the same.

Airline Fuel Costs Mount
Think of the military aviation, jets, helicopters, UAVs, AWACs, bombers and even flying gas stations in the sky for aerial re-fueling. The airline industry is under extreme pressure now. If they keep raising their fees to passengers then the passenger per plane ratios drop off, meaning flight are unprofitable. Generally Airlines too are a 24-hour business. It is like running several airlines non-stop 24/7.

A Look at Fractional Jet Ownership
An exciting concept in private aviation, however, is allowing private jet travel to make more sense for those who have seriously considered it as a possibility. Nothing says success like the ability to roll out of bed, take a shower, eat a nice breakfast - all while you cut through the air at 528 mph. Fractional shares start at 1/16 of a share, which can be as low as $369,875 in a Hawker 400XP. The Marquis Jet Card starts at $109,900 for 25 hours in a Cessna Citation V. In fact, the BBJ is even available with a boardroom, bedrooms, and a shower.

American Airlines; Crash: Nov. 12, 2001
Some industry analysts say that Airbus builders are working for the laziest Union in the World selling to mostly government subsidized airlines. The aircraft involved in that crash was an old Eastern Airlines plane, which was probably not too sturdy anyway for lack of maintenance back when that airline was falling apart. Three pilots sitting in a cockpit who make way over the average standard of living and negated the reason they are so highly paid. If you jeopardize or disavow these known quantities you will get to visit Murphy much more often than originally anticipated. We have performance and strict engineering principles mandated by natural laws governed by Mother Nature who could really give a darn what you do.

A380 Bathrooms
The Boeing 787 will have humidified air, so no more dry eyes during flights and because of its stronger composite cabin, it will leave the cabin pressure at 6,000 feet instead of 8,000 or 10,000 feet, meaning it is safer on the bio-system with more oxygen. (40,000 feet above sea level.

Increasing TAS in Modern Day Fighters with Expandable Wing Tips
We seem to be reaching the top end of aerodynamic design in an atmosphere in modern day fighters. The fighters we have today like the F-18 Hornet (Navy) and the F-16 Talon, F-15 Eagle (Air Force) have substantial fuselages which act as wings.

Really Cheap Plane Tickets
There are also stand-by deals and last minute deals and other ways to get really cheap plane tickets. Flexibility For Even Cheaper AirfareThe more flexible you are, the better your chance of getting a really cheap plane tickets.

Diamond Twinstar
Probably one of the coolest experimental aircraft twin-engine aircraft is the Diamond DA 42 Twinstar. The Twinstar is propelled by twin diesel engines which burn Jet A or even conventional diesel fuel.

Airport Noise Reduction
Reducing airport noise can be achieved by using sound waves towards the noise area. By sending the waves up they would meet with the sound from the aircraft and cancel out the noise from the airport.

New Airbus A-380 Beats Out 747
The A-380 has beat out the Boeing 747 as a target by International Terrorists. The A-380 is quite a bit bigger than the 747 as you can see.

Airline Travel Lingo! Does The Language Need An Interpreter?
If you make a stop for example in Denver, you will change planes at that airport, but with the same American Airline carrier. This is when you as a passenger changes airplanes, but instead of boarding the same company plane you will be on a different airline.

Aerodynamic Inflatable Wing Gates for STOL
I propose inflatable wing gates to pop up on modern day aircraft to allow for slower stall speeds on landing. Before takeoff these inflatable gates will blown up into place with small canisters.
