I remember an article in AOPA Magazine also touting the PBS product. Being that de-ice boots are a safety item many AI Mechanics will not sign off the annual if the boots look checked or old. If your de-ice boots look too far gone already try some floor wax and then PBS prep and then the sealant. Save you de-ice boots as they may save your life. I distinctly remember one day using floor wax and then having to climb onto the aircraft and sat on the well saturated de-ice boots I had just coated with lots of Floor Wax.

Both loved the idea, Lance because it was his dream and Dave because he loved the aircraft washing services, which he contracted through Lance after he bought the plane from him. Someone who owned an airplane most likely owned a business, was a farmer, high-ranking executive and if not certainly knew others who were. Lance also got into trouble for flying under a bridge although his friend an FAA Examiner gave him a warning, If you ever try anything like that again, I'll have you thrown in jail, now get the hell out of here!. During this time Lance also became involved in motorcycle street racing, the speed did not bother him much, so he did quite well.
